Thank you for visiting my campaign website.
There are numerous serious issues facing ward 1 and all of Akron. The increase in crime, massive cuts to our safety forces, increased unemployment, corruption, lack of transparency in city government,oppressive taxation. Beyond all of these issues, is representation.
Over the past six months, I have spoken with family, friends, neighbors, business owners, and everyday people from ward 1. Time and time again, the same thing comes out of there mouth. " Where is our representation? "
After hearing this question hundreds of times, I had to do something about it! This is why I am running. Without responsive representative in ward 1, how can any of our issues, from major to minor, be resolved? The answer, they CAN'T!
If you are tired of government telling you want you can't do; demand a smaller and more responsible city government, then VOTE LISTON!
